Dig, set, what? We got your back ๐Ÿ‘‡

Volleyball is played by two teams on either side of a net, with the aim to hit the ball onto the floor on the other teamโ€™s side of the court.

Players can hit the ball up to three times when sending it across the net to the other teamโ€™s side. The team gets three hits total, including the one sending it to the opponent. A player can only hit the ball once per turn.

The ball is served from the back boundary line directly across the net to the opponentโ€™s side. The opposing team then hits the ball up to three times while returning it, aiming to hit the floor on the first teamโ€™s side. If the ball touches the floor, the other team gets a point.

To win, the team needs to win the best of 3 sets. 25 points and a lead of at least 2 is required to win a set. If one team is on 25 points and only leads by 1, the game continues until a team is in the lead by 2.

When the ball is in play it must pass over the net.

The opponent cannot block a serve.

What about rebound volleyball?

Rebound volleyball is similar to indoor volleyball but instead of โ€˜outโ€™ lines there are nets to rebound the ball back into play, so you can sustain rallies with your opposition.

And beach volleyball?

Beach volleyball is played with standard volleyball rules.
