Meet Ryan 🏐

We chatted with Netball legend Ryan, to find out his thoughts on Just Play.

How did your Just Play journey begin?

 My journey began after a breakup with a longterm girlfriend. I was looking to get back into playing sport, meet new people, and challenge myself, so I thought Mixed Netball was a great choice.

Favourite Just Play moment?

I have made 2 best friends through Just Play (and I’m still making new friends). We've travelled around Victoria and have even gone to music festivals together.

Tell us about what it was like meeting your team for the first time.

*Laughs* I was definitely nervous! But everyone else was there for the same reasons, to meet people and play sport, so we got along fairly easily. Learning names is the hardest part!

Would you recommend Just Play to a friend?

100%. It takes the stress out of forming a team, and even better, allows you to join as an individual, great if you don't have sporty friends or are new to a city. Most people I play with have moved to Melbourne from somewhere else 🙌
