New Year, New App!

Welcome to 2023 all! We hope your New Year's resolutions are going swimmingly.  We had one big resolution at Just Play this year, and that was to release our new app. 

(It was actually our resolution last year but listen, it needed a little more time to cook.) 

We’re very happy to report that we’ve nailed our resolution early and the new Just Play app is finally live! New year, new Just Play.

Here are the major changes we’ve made:

💫 We look amazing x

You’ll notice that the app looks amazing. We think it’s pretty slick and hope you do too! (Not that the old app was ugly, it was a solid 7.5/10 but this one is a 10/10 smokeshow 🔥)

💫 One Game

Next up, we’ve merged One Game and Just Play! Many of you know One Game as the place to book one off casual games (we knew it as Just Play’s lil’ sibling that maybe needed a little more love!) So we thought it was time for the pair to be united.

This means you can now book single games right in the Just Play app if you’re ever keen for a run around. You can find them in the One Game tab!

💫 Filters

We’ve introduced filtering at long last! You can now search leagues and single games by a bunch of filters, including leagues on sale, playing days, competition type, venue type & skill level. Hopefully this helps you find the perfect league even faster 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

💫 Save & update your location

We’ve brought in some changes to the location feature. This means you can automatically have your location picked up based on where you are - OR you can save it so you’ll only see leagues in your saved location - even if you’re somewhere else in the world! 

Tip: Be sure to head to your Profile to pop in your location and make sure your timezone is set correctly. 

Last but not least, our single most requested feature -

💫 Game chat

You can now chat with your team in the app to break the ice, introduce yourself, make plans to get drinks after the game - and ask the age-old question; “Who has the bibs?”

We hope you love the new app, many months of blood, sweat and tears from the Just Play team have gone into it and we’re so stoked to see it finally live. We can’t wait to improve it even more and see were this new era of Just Play takes us 💙
